Violy and I went on our first-ever cruise to ports on the famous Malacca Strait situated between Malyasia and Indonesia. Weather was good throughout the 7-day voyage in which we visited Port Klang (gateway to Kuala Lumpur), Penang, Port Krabi (Thailand), Phuket (Thailand) and the Langkawi Islands (Malaysia), then back to Singapore where we met several friends over food and jazz.

I was also happy to learn that Singapore does have the lowest-priced video production gear of any place on the planet, even cheaper than New York's B&H Photo-Video! So, when I eventually upgrade to Hi-Definition video, I'll do my shopping in Singapore since it's only a 3-hour flight from Manila.
